The biggest hug to welcome you to my blog! I’m a twenty-something girl who can’t cook but can certainly eat. Well, I lied; I can cook any food that has the word ‘frozen’ or ‘instant’ on the package. I’m a coffee addict and I worship desserts, although I’ve been cutting down a lot of my sugar intake due to a warning from my GP.
Some people might wonder why I don’t write a lot more in my blog, and, to explain that, let me say I’m more into ‘visualisation’ than ‘ a bunch of words’. Simply put, I relate more to pictures than a good essay. It was once said ‘One picture is worth a thousand words” and it had become my religion.
I am still amazed by how crazy Melbourne’s food or café culture is. Wherever I turn my head, there’s a cafe in the corner of my eye each time; now and then, a beautifully designed venue pops out with new, creative, and unique concepts. It is a never-ending adventure to explore Melbourne with its gems, and sometimes hidden treasures behind laneways waiting to be found.
With my Design and Marketing background, seeing all those cafés competing with one another and sometimes in the same neighbourhood, and seeing how insanely famous some venues can be, makes me realise that it’s not (only) about the food any more, it goes beyond that. Those magical mysteries are the reason why I’m always excited to go to the most talked-about venues – to eat, to experience, to have a good time with my friends and, most importantly, to share my experiences to you through pictures.
